well i have got my hands on what Ive found to be a very rare 1966 toyota stout thats been sitting for 15 or so years... i believe it has a 1.9L4cyl "3r" engine (i call it a 19 r hahaha) and has some sort of 4sp ON THE TREE transmition haha anyways its pretty rough and needs a lot of work. it is a 2wd truck and from what ive read up its the first model of a toyota truck ever sent to the U.S.A. i know i should probly be restoring it but i wanna do something like a 22ret (have all the parts) w-56 trans, top shift t-case and a 85 solid front axle and put it on 35s. im gonna post the pics i have and we will see what happens! o ya i did put a battery in it do some hot wiring and put some fuel down the carb and cranked on it on and off for a few minutes and got it to start for about three seconds!

Slamming stuff isn't my thing. I also have a 99 4runner I put on one tones and dual cases. And a 86 2wd excab factory turbo truck I made 4x4 but I'm parting it for this truck. O and if any one wants to know.. I paid 350 for the stout!

ditch the stock carb and throw a weber on, you cant really find parts for the old old toyota carbs anymore. good luck with your build

ya but finding parts to rebuild that carb will be a bitch. you will get more power and better mileage outta the weber. if you want the old look find one on craigslist and rebuilt it for like 20 bucks. best thing you could do for that motor.

Got most of the front suspension out. have the front hanger tacked in place. There is actually holes in the frame factory that are almost perfect for the shackles but not close enough I put the shackles in them and set the housing on jack stands and set the trucks weight down on the leaf springs just to see. I'm excited! It looks awesome! I took a ton of pics ill try to post later. I have a lot to do still. Figure out a way to mount the shackles. Do you guys think it would look like poo if I did like the wrangle and did shackles up front? It would make my whole life easier cause to do shackles in rear I have to destroy the body mount..
