K so I fixed the frame rot and I am just about ready to mount the bed back on. Originally the lines didn't match from the bed to the cab as the bed was to low. It was mounted on square rubber pads with no shims so my question is are the pads crushed and need to be replaced? If so were can I get them from? If they just get shimmed what do you guys use as shim material.

    Cheers Steve

The rubbers will get compressed even if they're new.

How far off are the body lines?

If more than 1/8" or so, I'd check the body mount bushings first and make sure everything is in order there. If they're OK, you can use some large fender washers as shims. Just get some from the hardware store...

Also, were all the rubbers in the right locations? If they were installed improperly at some point they could've be causing the issue.

There were rubbers on all 8 mounting points and is more then an eighth of an inch out in fact I would say more like 3/4 of an inch. What would the correct sequence of rubber pads, washers, and rubber bushings be?

    Cheers,

    Steve

Should be one pad per bolt but I had the same issue and took a pad from second bolt out from the cab and used it on the first bolt.I just eliminated the second bolt so there are three on each side. It is holding nicely with only six bolts. Anyways one of the tounges on the top of my bolts was rusted out so it was a bitch to take out.
