First off the install and set-up was cake. This is my first on hand tuning experience with no instructions, no expert help, and pretty much just winging it and hopeing for the best. Let me say that MAP ECU 1 or 2 is the way to go for sure. Pros: Easy for almost ANY person that is mechanically inclined quick set-up and yes the usb to serial adapters work! but you have to get the right one at radioshack the tuning is pretty precise strong built box cons: freezes up some times, just reconnect and its fine, no big deal but can get annoying I wish it had finer tuning in the lower rpms so its not such a big jump. AFR just to rapidly from one correction to the other. Ive pretty much got it dialed in perfect now with just a little tiny bit of TPS % enrichment at low rpms for in town driving. Needs a little work at idle as its running a little lean. Did run just now and obviously 1st and 2nd are just smoke gears but.... Now 3rd gets a little swirly. with the tune done I hit boost much quicker and throttle response is much better. It pulls SO MUCH HARDER with less boost now as im tuned at only 12psi!! for a used MAP ECU at 200 bucks, I couldnt be happier.
