I know this is probably retarded to ask, but why not... this is the internet. Does anyone have, have access to, or know anyone who has access to the orgional manuels for the early Toyota trucks? I would do unspeakable things to get my hands on one for my 71...
i offer a free sponge bath after unspeakable things for a factory service manual. tho i did finally find a corona book with decent diagrams that goes back to 71. and that was at a used book store of all places. they do pop up on ebay every once n a while. did you try the dealer? some older manuals are still in print, or there is a lot of copys in back stock.
Yeah I tried my local dealer... LOL... they had photocopies of microfisch, that looked like it had been faxed back and forth about 48 times... Fail...
i have a book that covers my 65 stout and has the hilux in it. ill take a look tonight, what unspeakable things would you do for scans of it?
ok so my chiltons goes from 1965-1970 and covers the corona corolla, mark II, crown, land cruiser and stout. It does have the wiring diagram for the 1970 hilux though in it, and most of the stout stuff applies to the hilux too. The hilux is just a smaller stout back then.... or vica versa... so what do you need?
found a Haynes at used book store I founda haynes that is early hilux specific and even has a performance mod section in the back ... the bind is coming off but it is in great shape otherwise] could scan if needed lmk
i know this thread is collecting dust, but i found the owners manual in my Stout when i was cleaning it out. seems the original owner even hand added in factory specs in the back of the book along with part numbers for common replacement parts.
