so........ ive been busy and also had a few lucky chances on a trade come up so i took a chance and this is what i got.......

84 4Runner, 22R 5speed. truck is an SR5 so i does have power windows, tilt, inclinometer, and the factory rear heater that kinda sucks at the moment being so damn hot :doah:

i also got a complete downey (rip) off-road 3" lift waiting to go on. LCE open air K&N filter kit for it still new in the box. :clapping:

there is lots of work to be done but it will all get started soon as i get the lux all painted up and done.................. maybe sooner since i wanna be able to take this out to the desert and trails soon :D

ok, so its been kinda idle for a while but im starting the build process on project ShadowRunner. spent the past couple days juggling a few items on craigs along with a small budget and im getting in touch with my build drive again

    still on the list is
    -header
    -catback magnaflow system
    -installing downey 3" lift
    -ifs rear axle
    -crossover steering

ok. so i got the exhaust taken care of today....... no more hoky 4" glasspack turnout before the wheels....... got me a 14" magnaflow catback turned out at the higher end of the rear quarter after the wheel. i also cut the bumper tabs and took the mud flaps off improving the overall look of the truck.

MacRib hinted me on to a header he had seen at the junk yard and said it was a genuine downey 4-1 header :runaway: that was 3 or 4 weeks ago so figured it wouldnt be there....... low and behold it was still there so i quickly snatched it out of the 4runner it was on and scored for $54 at the pick your part place :headbang:

ill be installing that and a hollowfied cat possibly tomorrow. we'll see how that sounds after. :waytogo:

yea........ more and more the Runner is becoming more enjoyable to drive......... i contemplating selling it just cus there were so many things wrong with it but i think i got my touch back and am able to look through the rough spots and fix what i need to without dropping large coin.....

got the header put in today and man, all the exhaust work has really paid off!! didnt think this truck would run as good as its running right now :runaway:
