I've been back and forth about lowering my 91 for a minute now and I've decided to do it but nothing crazy. At most 2" but 1½" or 1" is good as well! I'm just looking on what kind of blocks I should get. I've heard about the aluminum block stores so I'm not going to cheap out but I don't want to break the bank with this project. Any good suggestions on what to get?

Parts store blocks are hit and miss. Personally havent seen any break/crack.

Theyll be fine to be honest

    To reinforce what jetas said:
If all you want is a 2" drop, the basic ones at a parts store aren't a complete waste of money. Make sure they're the correct size of U bolts. Also, not recommended for heavy race/autocross use, regular shitty road use, or hitting potholes at speed. Normal, smooth-ish road use and you'll be guaranteed in the clear. After the first week of use, tighten them. Another month later, check them. If they need to be tightened, do so, and revisit in another month. Continue revisiting until you don't have to tighten them. I'm NOT talking Hulk tightness, or air impact tightness. I mean normal human with a decent wrench tightness. If you get 3 or 4 months into this revisiting, you bought the wrong blocks and should probably just buy the Belltech leafs, or, you suck at tightening by hand. I might recommend a good/great pair of shocks for the back while you're upgrading. Do the fronts while you're at it.

I'm running 2" blocks on top of 3" drop leafs, because the first 3" wasn't enough (that's what she said)

When I rode static , & I did for around 3 or 4 years , I ran turned down torsion bars in the front & Beltec 2'' dropped springs with 2'' angled blocks at the rear . Never had any problems & bagging was in the future plan!

Hey man I just got a 94 Toyota pickup slammed with 6” lowering blocks in the rear. And my front end is lowered to by the torsion bars, but my truck scrapes so bad in the front what do I do?

Adjustable suspension, air ride is the best solution!
You can ride low ,& rise it up going over speed bumps & in & out of driveways.
Will great if set up correctly & is dependable.
Just have to do the research!

you can measure the height of them, but I haven't heard of anything over 4" for our trucks. Even then, 4" is for a show pony, not something you want to push through a corner very hard.

You can start by raising the front up.

I wana know how far off the ground are the u bolt threads? I had 4" worth of blocks and the u-bolts got caught on uneven ground a few times
