So I figured I might as well start a build thread and show my progress, bare with me on spelling and responses I do most of this off mu phone haha ok well my trick is a 1993 toyota p/u std cab with a 22re and a 5 speed. It's a Cali truck, has 2 o2 sensors. I bought this truck from my dad probably 6 or more months ago for a 100 big ones needing some serious lowering and tlc.this is what she looked like the day I brought her home.
After driving her the way it was for a little bit I slapped a new radiator and thermostat, water temp sensor in it. Drove it for awhile then finally got around to taking out the hideous body lift and put the 18s on it that came with it,so here's a pic of it right after me and some buddies finished it.
So the weekend after the body lift came out I took out th add a leaf in the rear and took it In to get it aligned and they told me they had to crank down the torsions because they were maxed out, shortly after I got it down to a decent height I was leaving work one night and snapped the steering shaft from the column to the steering box, so she was immobile for a couple months while I put it on the side burner for a bit, couple months later I had a welder at my work weld it together and reinforce it up a bit and finally I could drive it again. Not to long after I was being stupid one night and did a couple 3rd gear burnouts and blew up the rear end, long story short I couldn't find a 7.5" diff anywhere around here so I swapped In a hole different 8" rear end housing and all and slapped in a 1" lowering block for the time being. Took her to the exhaust shop and had a flowmaster put in 2 1/4 in 2 1/2 out. Also put In a full ken wood system including the head unit and two 6" speakers have her a good cleaning and this is what she looks like so far today
Here's a picture of the crap I pulled out of the rear end when I tore it apart, that's part of the pin that goes threw the ring gear and a pic of my truck on the lift getting exhaust
Thats a good luckin truck you got there! Nice and clean, and definitely a good start! Where at in The PNW you located? I'm in Vancouver WA..
It was raining out today but i figured id get a little progress in the truck, got the chrome tailgate handle put on and took all of the 'toyota' letters off which is no fun task.
