I put 2" blocks in the back of my 94 last night. Drove it to work this morning and it felt kinda sluggish. Well I guess it could be that it was only a 2 mile drive and the truck never warmed up!?!? But it felt almost like the brakes were dragging. So my question is... Do you usually have to adjust the load sensing valve after dropping a Toyota?
Lowering will quicken the response of the rear brakes, lifting will lessen the response. When you lower, the valve thinks there's a load in the bed and will apply more pressure so they come on harder and quicker, which could lock them in a panic braking situation.
With that being said its getting a readjust! This little truck feels super light in the ass end. Don't want it coming around if I have to brake hard in a corner.
I just took my lsv arm off like 30 minutes ago drove around the brakes stopped dragging and locking up its a little spongy but my booster is old
I have the same issue as well. I had to do a panic stop this weekend and noticed my rear locked up pretty quick. Is this what i have to adjust? I've never mucked with the lspv before and i'm wondering if this is how it's supposed to look stock: Should I have it backed out all the way? I've seen a modified bracket by BeefedTaco, but it's only for Tacos. Thanks!
Crud, I didnt even realize you responded to this thread! Is there a chance of you building an lspv bracket for our generation trucks? I've been a huge fan of your products since purchasing your front and rear low profile bumpstops. I also check your site every now and then for a street style rear bumper. Is that still in the works?
