OK so i really wanna get some lightweight rims for my pickup i have the stock 14x5 in steelies on right now i just cant find the weight of them anywhere and i dont wanna take off the wheel and tire to weigh it myself, I was also looking into putting on the 5 lug tacoma rim which looks like this but I really only wanna do it if its considerably lighter so does anybody know any lightweight rims that are 5x114.3 and are in the somewhat cheap range?? Any info is appreciated!!
    Summing it up
1.weight of stock 14x5 steel rim?
    2.weight of 01-04 tacoma 5 lug 4x2 rim??
3.any lightweight rims you know will fit the bolt pattern???

This is a link to those tacoma rims

lol steelies are heavy. Any alloy wheels should lighten things up. Less unsprung mass = better handling, better ride, better performance, and better mileage.

Whats the point of lightening it up? Just curious...

edit-Joey right, the centerline style wheels (hopefully real), are the lightest wheels ever!

    less mass to rotate.
    less mass to slow down.
less mass to go up and down as the suspension compresses and extends.

you wouldn't put really big heavy chrome wheels on a Formula One car would you?

lol technically Rota's ARE cheap wheels.... :)
But yeah, aluminum alloy wheels will always be lighter, which is a plus.
