there was a thread about this not to long ago on CT so i would try searching there. I assume youre putting it in a stock grille? I thought it was an awesome idea but i didnt actually like how it looked on my billet grille so instead i am rocking a first gen emblem on mine. but on the stock grille it looked pretty cool , and you deserve it if youre swapping a Lexus engine in.

I was pondering a similar emblem swap relating to my Tacoma. I tried searching for spec's on various emblems (including the OEM Tacoma emblems) and found basically nothing.

The best source of data I found was (oddly enough ...) eBay. I did searches like [ lexus emblem* ] to locate auction listings for emblems - listings that often included dimensions (height / width). This was involved, but it was the only way I could find to try and identify emblems that were close enough in size to transplant.

I assumed from the beginning it would take some tweaking / fabbing to get the other emblem to fit (e.g., using the OEM truck emblem piece as a base and attaching the new emblem to it) ...

I have an extra Lexus emblem. One of the round ones. I made a piece to adapt it to my stock grill.

Yeah ... If you do some digging you'll find a lot of, well ... , oddball Toyota emblems - particularly from the overseas / JDM market ...

Just look at any Lexus on the road. Its the symbol off the trunk. I only have a picture on my phone, and I can't get anything from my phone to my computer.

Ah so it's one of the big ones then right? I know what you are talking about but I want a smaller one. Heck maybe I'll fab one up after the motor swap and get it chromed.

Its not huge, its about 3" wide and 2" tall eyeballing it. The ones on the grill are the huge ones.

Not meaning to 'jack the thread or anything, but ....

Has anyone ever considered replacing the grille emblem with something *else*? A while back I got interested in the notion of replacing my Taco grille emblem with something graphic (e.g., a metal belt buckle with a skull or something off-the-wall like that) ... The reason I mention belt buckles is that a lot of them are roughly the same size as the factory grille emblems ...
