Im am having a problem with every time it rains i am getting water in the cab on both the driver and passenger sides of floor board. i have been trying to pinpoint where the water is getting in at. It looks as if it is coming from under the dash board. Its driving me crazy not being able to find it. If anyone knows anything about this or has had this problem let me know what i can do to fix this!!

take your cowl off, look down in the coners to see if there is any rust outs...toyota's always rust out at the inner fender and travle to the under side of the cowl...if not then maybe you have a leak around your window...hope this works if you need pic then let me know...

I am going to check that out tomorrow. Do you know what the fix would be if it is under the cowl?

If its under the dash, its a good chance its not that.Might be, but not likely.
I would check the vent box, any rubber boots for wiring, and body seams.
take off the cowl, run a hose on it, and see if you can reproduce what happening.
As for a fix, ask you local body shop what they use for seam sealer.

theres many ways to fix it...
you can use fiber glass...just make sure that all of the rust is gone...the problem with fiber glass is that it is to stiff...metal tends to bend or twist a little and the fiber glass will fallout...
or you can do it the rite way and that is to eather cut out the rust or treat the rust and patch it up...

Check around the inners of the doors. check all leading holes and grommets around the front area, also look on the firewall and the louvered section behind the hood. start tracing and looking for holes. Then if you think you found the culprit, get the hose and give the truck a bath.

Run some water in the cowl vent and get uder your dash to look for the leak. I would also say rust in the cowl or a leaking windshield.

I found where the water is getting in the cab and it is such a relief. I took the fenders off and right above the door hinges they have where the cab and engine compartment is there is a seam that has filler from factory an d filler is gone. I am going to weld the seams to stop that problem.:clapping:
