1977 Toyota Corona Wagon. I was so impressed with fellow forum member (ShoNuff) "Wagon Build Up" thread that for weeks I've been obsessed with finding one of my own. I have to admit, almost everyone I know was shocked that I'd be willing to drive an old wagon. An old truck, they could understand. But a bronze colored wagon with simulated wood??? But I just can't explain it, I absolutely love the damn thing! After weeks of haggling with the previous owner, just this evening, I finally got it ($$$) close enough to what I was willing to part with to get it. It's different. It's functional (more passengers than my truck). It's fun to cruise in. There's that "sleeper" potential to boot. I owe a lot of thanks to (ShoNuff) and his bad-ass wagon. Thank you for taking the time to answer my countless questions. Your support fueled my excitement and I sincerely appreciate your time. Really, man - thank you. Anyhow....anyone got a low miles 1jz or 2jz for sale? LOL (Someday)
NICE I would give my eye teeth to find a 75 corola wagon. My parents had one, mint white, it had a vent in the hood, 5 speed and went like MAD! I still have a parts box for it at the parents house....i wrapped the thing around a tree when i was 19....... Still drove fine after......lol just looked like hell
Yeah, I want to see some good big pictures of it and your truck, dig the stripes on the truck and wood on the wagon.
that would be a cressida corona's have 4 headlights and about F'n time she caved in on it, ya mind spillin what ya paid for it?
Correction: It's a 1978. The door tag says made in 77' but I guess because the month it was made and when it was released, DMV has it reg'd as a 78' Here are some more pics. One of the lucky things about this buy is that the interior was in respectable shape. The two front seats eventually need to be re-done, but the foam is intact. The dash, of course, is shot. But, again, lucky to have sourced a perfect one from a yard in the mid-west, along with a factory rear hatch deflector - both shipped for $60. The AM/FM radio works perfect and so do the speakers. Clock works. Cig lighter works, which now serves as a cellphone charger. What doesn't work is the windshield wiper switch. So, for now, no rainy day driving. The headliner is 99% perfect with just a couple of very minor flaws. The motor came with a slightly noisy valve, but otherwise idles perfect and pulls nice and strong. I love the sound and feeling of a 20r in 5th gear! That's after driving a healthy 20r for two months with just a 4th gear. The ugly part of my buy was the rear compartment. I guess it's to be expected. But I'm just glad everything is complete. Meaning not one plastic piece in the interior is missing. A little paint and some new carpeting, and a thorough cleaning and she'll be straight. Even the carpet in the front cabin area is nice. Just in need of a good shampooing, but still very presentable. The ride is absolutely amazing. Extremely comfortable. Not to mention all the LOOKS I get cruising down the freeway at 70mph. Not bad for $900.
Speaking of cool wagons... WOW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:727|65:12|39:1|240:1318 Nice!
