Went and picked up this bone stock 1991 Toyota Pickup from Missouri earlier this week. Trying to figure out what shop is going to be doing the suspension but I have it narrowed down to 2 shops. Also looking for a paint shop as well but I have one in mind at the moment. Got a pair of free Slam bags and waiting for those to show up, other than that that's the only parts I have for it lol. Got a few sponsors jumpin on board for it too.

I'll also be doing short video documentaries once some actual work gets going. Will be shot for Mini Truckin' Magazine when finished and the videos will be going on their website as well.

Talked to a few companies this weekend at a show here in Oklahoma about doing some work on it. Just need to figure out some details.

 

I just gotta know how ur getting featured already when its complete. Seems like to get featured you gotta know someone. Nothing against you cause the truck will be sik

 

I've known the editor John Mata for a while now and always talk to him at shows. I've also sponsored renderings for them and have had my work in their magazine. Before I released the rendering I hit him up and asked if it'd be feature worthy and if he'd want to shoot it when it's done. In laymans terms he said "hell ya" and said he'd like to put the progress videos I'll be doing on their website as well.

Knowing the right people has it's perks haha. I'm hoping that will help with getting sponsors.

 

Small update but got the truck all registered and everything today and took it down to my mechanic. Probably going to do a little maintenance work on it later this month before getting more parts. It runs pretty good already but I'd like to get all that **** out of the way first.

Ya thts what I figured. Hopefully you keep posting on here wanna follow the build. A little off topic but what program do you use for renderings? I like the quality of them I work with the free programs since I lost my Photoshop haha

 

I got quite a few websites where I'll be posting all the build stuff, this being one of them. And I use Photoshop. Nothing beats it lol.

The build won't be a quick one by any means. I learned a lot with my last bagged truck. My last one I always cheaped out on it and tried to rush everything. This time with my toyota being my 2nd truck that I dont have to daily drive, I won't have to rush it and I'm going to save up for the nicer stuff. It should be worth it in the long road doing it right the first time. Me and my buddy who's building a Nissan made a little pact to have our trucks finished by Turkey Drag (show in texas) in December 2013 haha.

You definitely need Photoshop lol. And yeah that was my first truck and first/last bagged truck. Ended up getting rid of it after I moved to Oklahoma while I was going to school. Should of had a full paint job but the painter ****ed me over after he got paid in full. Here's what it looked like right when I got rid of it

Started coming up with ideas for my aluminum bomber seats that will be built by Ryan's Sheetmetal Designs in Texas. Planning on getting these started in the next couple months.

Chevy looked pretty good. U did a rendering for my buddy Ryan. Tht sux getting ****ed over tho I cudnt imagine how pissed I'd be. Good thing I have a good friend tht is a painter haha.
