Has any body tried KA 24 or nap z duel valve spring on a 22r head. Nobody has any 22r springs available right now so thats my only option. I heard it work but I want to make sure.

Agree. LC engineering is the place to get em.

Be forewarned though. With the dual springs, you also need the special retainers. And need get the hardened locks. Hell if your that far in get the bigger valves while your at it. Dont want a 30 yr old factory valve ruining your motor. Gets expensive

I cant get my valves to be quiet either. I blame it on the stiff spring pressure.\

Why exactly do you need upgraded springs? Ive spun 2 sets of stock springs in 2 different heads up to 6 grand without float.

Chelu, I've heard of a couple ppl running the dual springs off the mazda trucks. I think the B2200...? Not sure how good they work, but try asking around...

I raced a couple weeks ago and on the way home I was getting a crazy vibration and knocking. First I thought it was maybe a loose fly wheel. So I dropped the trans and the flywheel was good and tight. I went ahead and changed out my trans anyway. I ran the motor again and still the same so I dropped the oil pan next to check bearings and the con rod and main bearings were all fine. I replaced all bearings and checked the thrust and it was good. So I was thinking maybe a bad wrist pin on a piston so I pulled the head and found notches where my exhaust valves had hit the piston heads. It hit on all four but #3 and #4 where the worst. I'll put up a pic of the worst notch in #4. Since I am running a 292 web with sides I think I stressed out those stock springs too much.

Play-Doh your pistons when you go back together bro.

See how much clearance the valves have. A piston and rod can stretch as much as .030 inches. So roughly the thickness of a headgasket should put you in the clear.:waytogo:
