i'm working on saving the money to get smaller tires for the front but it's a slow process for me lol:( but i already have my blocks for the rear just looking for the extra time to do it in, no luck yet. i'm always hella busy, but it'll get there soon! 3" blocks and removing the middle leaf so it'll be fairly low :D

    Dont remove any leafs.

Go to AutoZoner and spend $39 on a lowering kit. It comes with cheapy aluminum drop blocks for the rear and also the new u bolts and hardware. Crank the torsion bars a tad in the front to lower it, but keep in mind this all lowers your ride quality. A crescent wrench and a 22MM socket will lower the front. Here is a comparison picture between stock height and an AutoZoner lower kit.

I think the big bash in the front is what makes it look mean.

It reminds me back in the day. My first vehicle ever was a 88' Toyota. I loved that truck. I though it was so badass when I younger.[IMG]

And quite wasting your time pulling the front fenders. Find a 4Runner and take the front fenders...on the 2wd trucks it makes it pretty flared out. I have these on my 92 race truck if want to see what i'm talking about. It would probably fit that wheel setup a lot better too.

i already have the blocks, as i said above. just haven't put them in yet. and i pulled my fenders because i'm EFFIN broke and can't afford to put alot of money into it. i appreciate the advice, but i'm the one who has to deal with the truck when it's done however i decide to do it. not trying to be a d*ck, just sayin. i have 3" blocks to put in it, plus i want another inch or so!

my truck aint ugly but if i wasn't broke either it would look waaayyyy better haha....
i have my front fenders pulled a little too. 4wd fenders are ok but i think the opening for the wheel well part of the fender looks bigger so it would make my 15x8's on 195/50's look small. but i could be wrong.... and i ran 3" blocks with pulled middle leaf before. the ride quality isn't the best especially if you carry a heavy load, but it gets te job done. your truck looks clean though man.

thanks man i appreciate it, it's a work in progress for sure. got some plans for it, but the money isn't there for it all right now. i don't really plan on hauling anything, more than maybe a bed or something. i'm not to worried about the payload weight i can haul, i'm more worried about being as low as i can!! lol i know i need shorter tires for the front at least, but it'll work for now:)

now i have a problem with the lip inside the fender well, the one that the original plastic inner bolter to! when i have my wheels cut sharp and hit even the smallest bump it's cutting the **** outta my tires! it's even worse when i have another person in it. i'ma try to take the wheels off today and fold that lip back, hopefully it'll help. on a side note, i went to get something to eat earlier today and this place called chipotle's and there was a little green nissan hardbody that was lowered pretty hard, lol i pulled into the spot next to him and i'm about an inch lower in the front than him!! i'm lower up front than any of the few minis i've seen around oklahoma city! :)

Your truck has a lot of potential. But definitely ditch the monster truck tires.

It's either smaller tires, or a bigger hammer. :D

thinner meat up front actually wouldn't look that bad. It'd give it a mild sport/drag look. And like white93 said, it doesn't have to be crazy different. 205/60r14 would look just fine

At least until you can do custom wheel arches

Here's (approximately) what it would look like with 60-series and then 50-series meat on just the front.

    205/60r14

I would have made the front tires darker, as they'd be new and shiny, but you get the idea

I've been working with photoshop since 1997. It's just some copy/resize work and a little filling in the empty space.

As for tire price, I usually start here, add 25% to the price, and that gets me a high ballpark for what tires bought and mounted cost from a tire shop. Or heck, I think if your local walmart does tires, you could ring them up and ask what the price would be for a mounted and balanced pair.
