Went to pay for some repairs today, and the mechanic has had an early 90's 4x4 chrome bumper sitting around for a while, and knew I was interested. So he gave it to me! He figures it'll just rust if it sits around much longer. What I find weird is that he wasn't able to fit it on any Toyotas in the recent past. Not sure if there are different mounting brackets for the 4x4 bumpers than the 2wd, but hell - for free I'm willing to give it a shot on my own.
Make the stock brackets work... I did wen my dad got me a 92-95 bumper. Jus cut off the part of the bracket that bolts to the bumper and switched the left side to the right side and vice versa. Worked out perfect. Idk if that will work on urs too tho.
That makes me feel better! BTW, sir, I've checked out your build thread, and those black Cragars are the rims I'm going to go for as well. I can't believe how inexpensive they are. My truck is a work truck and hits gravel roads and potholes a lot. Otherwise I'd go alloy.
Yeah dude they are really cheap. I got mine from Summit Racing. THey have gone up a few bucks but these are the ones I got http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975712/
