just did a header on my dads 93. we put a stainless ebay special full length header on it.. got it done and took it for a short b&r and got back and looked at it.. and we noticed it was changing to blue witch is normal but that was only the front two cyclinders and the back were still goldenish tint color... now the blue would tell me they got hotter, as in a possible sign of running lean. just wondering if anyone else has put a stainless header on and had the same results

you took it on just a short drive around the block....

i'd seafoam, injector cleaner (Techron or Redline?), some fresh NGK spark plugs (after oil change and all this), and see how it comes out later after a longer trip than around the block.

seafoam, injector cleaner, and spark plugs to clean up the engine and make sure it runs consistently across all 4 cylinders.

no problem. I'm sure the truck is running fine. Think of the heat difference between the front and rear of the motor and headers. more air up front from the fan, plus after that short drive, (cold engine maybe?), the front two cylinders *should* warm up faster than the rear two. (coolant passage that goes between intake runners 1 and 2).
