Subwoofer enclosure :JL Audio 6W3v3 4Ω sub box Just thought I would show off the custom box that came in the truck I just purchased. Perfect for those wanting a small and simple sub box. Surprisingly enough, the small box hits pretty good. The box uses the trucks floor and back (fiberglassed in) as part of the box sides. The box houses a JL Audio 6W3v3 4Ω 6.5" sub powered by an Alpine mrx m50 mono clad D amp (300x1 @ 14.4V) I just wish it would have been a full width box for a single 10/12" sub (a video I found on you tube) Breakers Stereo Custom Box Behind the seat of Pick Up - YouTube LMK what you think.
Me too...we need a show your system thread, like the static and factory wheels threads we got going on. My favorite part of a project car build is the audio part. Once I get some of the important kinks worked out on my truck im gonna start on my system setup
here is a vid I just uploaded of the sub box in action. For some reason, all you tube bass videos sound like sh@t. The system is actually pretty loud and clear I'm going to enjoy it for a bit then upgrade to an SA-10 when I feel the need for more sound. click me-> Single JL Audio 6W3v3 4
sounds like it hits hard man....good **** ive been wanting to put my system too but wanna do it right also
I always love those type of boxes. I plan to build one for my 78 so I don't have to remove the cab wall and replace it with flat sheet metal. I only want a single 10 or a 12. Im waiting until I get new seats to see how much space I get to work with. If I have to, it can go behind the shotgun seat with it forward a couple clicks on the sliders. I also need a bigger alternator before I put any amps or subs in. 55amps barely supplies my ignition, H4 headlights and cd player at the same time
