This seems like a deal. I tried to contact the guy to get a better idea of the curb rash situation. I might get them. They are way cheaper than I have seen is300 rims sold for. Is curb rash repairable?

:(Damn... I guess you gotta move quick for is300 rims for $260 for 4... With tires... They must have been kinda rough though.

So the guy in Concord took down his ad with the pics and put up this other ad:

I hit him up for pics. Here is what he sent me:

They look pretty nice. The curb rash looks curable.

Then there is this other guy in Santa Clara with chrome rims that are kinda beat up.

    http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/1213787702.html

Right now I am leaning toward the chrome ones for $350. They are kinda beat, but then I guess that kinda goes with my "ballin on a budget" status ride... You guys got any input? The guy with the chrome rims is supposed to send me close ups of all four rims tonight. He said that one big gouge is definitely the worst damage. If all is well I will probably be going to pick them up tomorrow.

I am really taken aback. I mean, I came with the pics and all... No input? I'm starting to think you guys just don't care.:p

I was thinking that too about re-chroming. Maybe down the road. I have been seeing all those "chrome exchange" deals on ebay where you exchange your set of is300 rims and give em $600 or so for a freshly chromed set. It would be nice to have a set with no curb rash, but at $350 for the set these seem like a good value (as long as the curb rash is as minor as he makes it sound. The polished ones I posted about are $400, and even with the damage I bet the chrome ones will look a lot better rollin down the road. I don't have the patience to wait for the miracle deal. It's kinda funny I will have the rims before the bed though. Lexus 18's? What do those come on? You know of any pics of them on a mini?

Ohhh yeah! Those are nice! I checked out that thread a bit. Sweet truck! He did a really clean job trimming the bed to clear the tires. I think it looks really good.

Anyway, the guy just got back to me with the pics. They look pretty good IMO. Check it out:

I think I am going to go for it. My girlfriend and I are in agreement that they would look better than polished rims in better condition on account of the chrominess. Soooo, heading to Santa Clara and Santa Cruz tomorrow.:D

Hey do you guys know if the pretaco's have the big front hubs like the Taco's requiring allot of wheels (IS300 included) to have to have the center bore opened up like for the Taco's. Not looking to buy these, just curious.
