instrument cluster

    will a sr5 cluster with tach interchange with mine if the year is correct? if so...does it just plug right up?

    what year you talking bout? i know 89-95 does, i just put one in mine..my tach wasnt wired from factory so i just wired it myself

    81 4x4, 83 4x4, 86 4x4
    i re-doing my whole truck which is a dx, and what i have found so far, it is wired just like the sr5 for all options. may have to just dig into it to see if the harness is there for the tach.

    an 82...

    i have thought it would be like that, i've been over EVERY inch of my truck and found connectors for things that werent there...so i was banking on it plugging right in? that neat...also i've wondered about the little gauge cluster for oil/volts gauges wonder if it'd be the same way?
