I have a 94 Std Cab that is currently lowered all the way down to bump stops, rides absolutely terrible but corners like none other cause of not having any body roll, but im lookin to do it right here pretty soon.

But my my question is im lookin to run the DJM 3" drop control arm with a Belltech Drop Spindle, anyone had any complications with this setup? I am a very spirited driver and want my truck low to corner better but not so low i cant go fast anymore would completely undermine what im goin for.

My overall plan is to run this rig at a 5/6 drop with 18's ive done a ton of research and am just lookin for some fresh input, my big stumble point right now is on shock selection there are a few option and i dont know which one will work best for my application i stated above.

I'm runnin Belltech 2" drop spindles, 3" blocks & Toxic drop shocks front & rear. The ride is great up front but a little rough in back. I haven't had any problems with the spindles, I insalled them back in Feb.

The toxic seems to be what everyone is goin with, your rig is only at a 2/3 drop and its that low? did you do anything else with the leafs in he back or turn down the torsions? Cause thats about how low mine sits with a three inch block monoleafed and turned down torsions to contact.

Plus i was just wondering if there was any conflict with any parts using the DJM Bellech combo??? Thats my main question.

Shouldnt be any problems with using both Belltech & DJM cause your using the factory balljoint & thats what bolts/connects the lower arm/spindle together. Might have to turn your torsion bars back up some though.

Yeah, its a 2/3 drop. I haven't touched my torsions or leafs, all stock.

I dont mind turnin the torsions up a little again, ive been riding around with no suspension travel for over a year now and am getting quite annoyed with it, i know im gonna have to notch the rear though, i got a friend that just got out of Wyotechs chassis fab class though so ill be alright there. thank you guys for your input.

The only thing with my project im not sure of yet is traction devices for the rear, im not goin to bag this project its not in the plan, but i want somethin to keep my rear end planted on hard launches, and around some uh um so called 15mph corners, i was lookin at spring slappers but thats good for straight line, i was thinkin someday doin a triangulated 4 link, its all paper fab for now and a lot of research.

Something else that would help in the rear would be an aftermarket sway bar. A few of the guys on here are running them & say they help out a lot.

i have that in the cards already, ive read on here though that the addco ones work better then then belltech ones, im learnin a little at a time, i know im gonna have a lot of trial and error, as the truck sits it outperforms a lot of sport compacts, i can outdrive eclipses and hondas all day, which is my goal in life, i just need a better setup that isnt so rough, thats why im asking, my next step after suspension is my performance option.

front end, I say you should crank it back to its original position, then install the drop arms at that height. then you'll be lowered with that fact. spring rate.

    good luck!

I'm somewhat sitting on my bumpstops.

Follow his build. He has done every possible thing you can do in the front. Spindles, DJM LCA's, poly bushings, bigger torsion bars. One thing he hasn't done is replacing the front sway bar with a bigger diameter one but I'm sure he will do that next. As far as shocks it looks like Bilstein's are the way to go.

    thanks for the link.

from what i have found though bilstein does not have a drop shock, i know that brand well from my 4wd experience and i know there good and would like to go with them.

these are some older pics i have of it, been meaning to take new ones. The 18s are no longer on there though :(

SD YOTA is running the regular length shocks on his truck. MacRib too is running the same shock and he has spindles. So yes you can use the stock length Bilstein shocks.

You could run KYB Monomax. Their shocks can handle a 2" drop. Also Belltech SP, that's what I have but I don't like them, too soft for my taste.
