Has any one replaced or upgraded their ignition lock? I accidentally broke the key in the ignition lock. And I need to replace it, I have found a replacement part, but inspecting the new unit there is no screw or attachment point. It seems like it slides into place. But how do you get the old one out? Do I have to remove the whole assembly? If any one can give an insight on how to remove the lock I would like to know.

Sounds like you have just the inner cylinder, you can replace just that if you can get the other out.
Or pull the steering wheel & replace the whole unit.
I replaced the whole unit on my truck within the last year.

Was hopping to just swap the inner cylinder out. Don't need to change things that work. Just stuck on how to slide the lock cylinder out.

Most lock sets there is a small hole into which you insert a pin ( paper clip or something round that fits)& turn the key to remove. But if the key is broken & you can't grab it than you have to replace the whole unit!
