OK so here are the plans for this summer

#1 Rebuild motor it burns oil and it bugs the heck out of me and i hate adding 1-2 quarts a week.......
    #2 swapping in a W56 5speed
#3 Lock rite locker in the rear end
#4 Either buying bell tech leaf springs or Beef taco's blocks for the rear & drop spindles for the front
#5 Paint it a Grey haven't found the exact color yet

and if i get all that done i will be putting in some buckets but that's way down on my list:waytogo:... i am also either going to buy or fab up some way to put in a air intake to my Weber i can just buy a intake plenum for like 200-300 bucks

MK3 or MK4 8" supra LSD should fit minor adjustment needed

thought that was for the v6 rear ends only?
The Supra rear third member isn't a drop-in affair because it is laid out a differently (IRS vs. straight axle). The carriers, however, are transplantable. The Supra carrier uses a four pinion design, just like the rear axle in V6 equipped pickups. The Supra carrier will only retrofit into the V6 third member, not the more common 4 cylinder third member. Although I did not do this, it would be a good idea to replace the carrier bearings at this time too, since you have everything apart. thats what they say on

hmmmm, i definitely knew about the Carrier part lol. I'll try to find more info.. I think there was minor adjustments just to have it fit in there... Well, guess you have to check axle codes.

hmm, through V6 8" and I4 8" were same axle.. G axle if im right

Just pick up a V6 third and put the Supra carrier into it. Then when you're ready, just swap the whole thing over. They're fully interchangable. Here's ZUK's write-up.

the v6 and I4 rear axle code are the same as a G = 8" but you have to look at the 4th number on the axle code and see if its a 2= 2 pinion for Non Turbo I4 or a 4= 4 pinion for V6 or Turbo I4

You can still swap them. Externally, they're identical.
