Here's the run down of a stock setup. Corner lights - 194 bulb, two wires. Front Turn Signals - 1156, two wires. Here's what I'm planning to do and already have. 168/194 white LED's, two wires in main corner light. 194 switchback LED's, two wires in secondary corner light. 1157 switchback LED's, three wires in front turn signals. Lights switched to parking/ headlights on. - main corners on - secondary corners white - turn signals white Lights still on, turn signals now on, or hazards. - main corners on - secondary corners amber as it flashes - turn signals go amber/white/amber/white as it flashes. Okay, so here's where I land. The main corners, easy. The turn signals, easy. It'll be wired like normal, but the 3rd wire for the "white" will be taken from the main corner light. Here's where I'm stuck at. " The #194 bulb and socket is a single circuit arrangement. There are only two wires going to this bulb (socket). One is (+) the other is (-). The bulb will only switch colors if/when the (+/-) polarity to the bulb is reversed. While a few vehicles automatically reverse polarity to the side marker bulb when the turn signal is activated, most do not. In most vehicles a relay and or other circuitry will be required to make this bulb change colors by swapping the +/- polarity to the bulb. " How do I do this, to make the 194 LED switchback go from white (idle) to amber (flashing)? Tail Lights LED Flashing Please help me out, thanks fellas!
Go to Ron Francis Wire Works WEB site. They make a reversing relay system for street rods. If you do not see it on the site call them; they may no longer advertise the units but they do make them, Sorry, I do not have a part # but I used them on one of street rods years ago. Tell them what you want to do and they will help you.
