Before I resort to my usual sources thought Id poke around here and see what you guys got laying around.

I need a W55 transmission for my 94 mine needs rebuilt but I dont want to ship it out cause nobody in my town can do it for under $600 so I know I can get a used one for that or less.

Let me know what yah gots

buy a rebuild kit! there not hard to rebuild, if i'm right, i don't think there's one piece in there that needs to be torqued!

    i have a W58 and W46

    58- 5 speed- tall overdrive
    46- 4 speed- no overdrive

if its easy to rebuild then why does it cost more to rebuild one than buy a used one??? Im not sure thats something Id be able to pull off I can rebuild stuff but Ive seen trannys ripped apart and looks like way to many parts to keep track of kinda like a carb with all the screws and jets and such too much for me to deal with IM ADHD

I'm with you man. When it comes to transmissions, I'll leave it to the professionals. Anything else and I'm comfortable. Maybe it's just the fear of the unknown...

Your deal is smoking however shipping for the entire engine/tranny etx wouldnt be very cost effective unless its all the sudden changed or something. I do still need a cat, and tranny, and an extra engine laying around wouldnt be bad so hit me up with a PM and let me know

I have a noise coming from mine (W55),may just be a throwout bearing, but want to go through the trans, over 200,000 on it!
The research I have done so for there are two kits for rebuilding ,different size input bearings. Kits are $274 & $378,this is just seals, gaskets, bearings, etc.
    No gears if needed!
