4Runner Headlights and Grill, Bumper, Mirrors, 2wd corners and fenders.

had the bumper/valence combo since end of last year and now i finally swapped the head lights and grill. next to come will be the 4wd fenders and 4wd corners.
did not use a 4runner core support, just used the stock one. all it required to to drill new holes. i also did the A/C pusher fan swap, and all fit snugly in between the grill :clapping:

its the fan that comes on the v6 4runners, it goes right in front of the AC condenser, i wired it up so when the truck is idling its on high, blowing air thru then condenser, and when the idle up kicks on, it turns off, and lets the big fan do its thing.

i took the entire harness, all the way to the relay box, and swapped it over. there are only 3 wires that go to the truck. from those one is yellow 12v+, one high speed + black/ white and the other green/?? low speed +. throughout the harness there are grounds that go to the chassis.

i wired all 3 to positive and the fan runs on low speed when i unplugged the green wire, it jumped to high speed. as of this post i am running the fan on high all the time. earlier i had it running high and low, but it the wire i taped into was causing problems with the idling of the truck. so i unplugged the green wire so it would not cause a problem.

i taped into the wire that when the a/c button is on and the fan speed button is on, on the dash, the fan comes on at the high speed. its on the plug that is coming off the truck harness onto the ac unit under the dash.

why did i do this? well the issue was during city traffic, or SoCal parking lot freeway traffic. the normal fan would not pull enough air thru the radiators, and i would rev the truck higher, so it would not stop putting out cold air when just sitting there in traffic.

today, i went and sat in the truck for about 20mins and the a/c kept blowing cold air. were as before, unless it was at high idle it would slowly start to blow warmer air, not as cold as before.

now, when ever the a/c button is pressed, the fan will run on high constantly.

    here are some pics

the Connection under the dash, the white and red wire is now left alone. there is no wire taping into it.

Factory Relay Box and you can see the 3 wires coming out of it, those go into the truck.

NOTE : if you go and look for this harness to do this swap. there are 2 types of harnesses, one is like the one i have here, the other has only 2 wires coming out that go to the truck, but has an additional pressure sensor that conects to the a/c line between the dryer and condensor. i did not want to re fill the freon, so i chose the harness with out that sensor, so i would not have to replace that line. if you search for it, you will see that it has a fitting for the sensor.
