I recently dropped the front of my truck back down and I have an issue where my belltechs are like too tall...

it has happeneded before to me, but now it just happened again this morning on the way to work. It's like I'm so low that they bottom out. Then if I hit a bump too hard or something.. the bottom brack on the shock will break...shooting the shock into the ground...

obviously raising the truck back up to normal height is never an option....

So I'm trying to solve this problem before I rush order a new set just so I can destroy them again..

are there smaller shocks I can buy? I feel like it would ride fine if the shocks werent bottomed out the whole time..

I almost feel like cutting and re-positioning the top shock bracket to give it more play..

Your truck's travel is probably past the damper's design. Either re-position the mounts or get shorter ones.

    what he said :waytogo:

check the how-to section at the bottom of the forums and look at the suspension section. i have a write up with TONS of shock options AND part numbers you can choose from. im gonna guess the belltechs were only good for roughly a 2" drop. if you have anything more they will likely be too long.

a toxic shock by procomp will likely be your answer... part number 413515. they are like $39 each from summit.

found them on summit, ordered a pair..

thanks this is exactly what I needed!

I think Im gonna start cutting up my wheel wells too... bottoming out on the high way is so ****ing dangerous. This'll be my first time actually paying for 2nd day shipping on an item and its only because I dont wanna die riding around on 3 shocks lol...
