Hi I am want to put power steering to an early 20R in a 1975 Toyota Truck SR5 short bed. Has anyone tried to do this? I been searching online about this installation but it is not that clear to me. Can somebody take me in the steps on installing the complete step of the power steering please? Thanks

Adding power steering will mean you need to get a pump off of a 79-80 20r, your 72-78 20r block will not have the lowest bolt hole for the lowest point of the mounting bracket, you can drill and tap a 12x1.25 hole, it will still fit however if you dont make that hole, it will be just less sturdy.
then next you'll need some power gear box from the 78 up trucks or a power rack which ever you like,
Mounting these power box or racks will be custom as they dont bolt onto your frame, the 79 up trucks with power steering have a differrent suspension layout
Then you need to figure out how to run your hydraulic hose, its harder than it looks, personally i would not do it as it is not necessary on our light trucks, the only thing i would possibly look into is installing a custom manual rack to have a better response, Hope this helps
