Well figured id put this out since i couldnt find a place that sold mirror filler plates for our model...i also hate the space it leaves once done...so this is an easy way to delete the mirrors or set them up for motorcyle mirrors that can be unbolted...first of all i took the mirror off ....to do this take one screw off the pillar in the interior....aftet that you will see three screws holding the mirror to the door....once the whole mirror is off you will see a screw on the bottom of the mirror holding the triangle piece to the actual mirror.....remove that screw so only the triangle piece is left.. now use an angle grinder to cut the small piece off. After that you can grind the remaining mirror piece flat. All you have to do now is bondo the small rectangle left at the bottom and start sanding and painting...im posting from my phone so sorry if it comes out trashy....i will attach the pics in order

Why would you want to delete them? Just asking the obvious question.

Almost every 89-95 Pickup with vent windows and panel mounted mirrors has block off plates like that from the factory. They are plastic though, so no mounting motorcycle mirrors to them.

Well, That's a clever way to go about it for sure. The cast aluminum is stronger than the plastic cover plates.

I went the other way though, as I didn't like the look of the stock mirrors. I picked up a set of mirrors from a 4runner that are larger and shaped better.

instead of drilling any holes afterward, why not look into "peep mirrors"? They just clamp to your door. I saw some on a Toyota pickup online and I think I'll be converting over to them on my 75 since I don't have a passenger side mirror.

Finally finished the driver side....Do not go with $20 ebay mirrors i returned them cause the actuall mirror is cheap plastic. Make sure you get short arms for the mirror as well.

Awesome now you have cool looking mirrors without that pesky ability to see what's behind you.

lmao!! i do like the look of the motorcycle mirrors. But you lose all visibility behind.

Look sweet tho, so thats the trade off.
