I'm newer to lowering trucks, always been the other direction.
Im trying to figure out just how many inches of drop front and rear I want. Was hoping people could post a pic of their truck with a brief description of suspension set up and total drop. I'm going to stay static for sure.
    Thanks in advance!

I'd start here and work my way down.

Once you start & ride static dropped for a while, you will indeed want to make your ride adjustable suspension!

    I ride at 4.5'' .

For a static truck I think it depends a lot on how the roads are around you, what you haul with the truck, and what your age/tolerance for a crappy ride is.

There are already plenty of "post your truck!" topics around here, take a look at a few:

I've got a 94 pickup and wondering how much I should drop it too. I want to keep it capable of hauling heavy gear in the back, like loading up on a yard of compost. It has 14" wheels now, but I'd like to find some 15's or 16's to throw on it. What would you guys do. 2/3"?

Start off at 3/3 and go from there.

Roads around me are fair, mostly backroads so it can get a tad bumpy but all in all not to bad. This truck will be a daily driver and probably some weekend drift fun; I'm building a hybrid 20/22r for it. I like the low look just not to low, handling is most important to me. I'm def staying static until I can do coil overs all around. From what I've been seeing I think 3-4" is what I'm looking for just not positive. Thanks for the replies

Thanks, I'll look through them, just couldn't find many pictures of pre 83s with suspension info.

Yeah, a 3/3 or 3/4 will be plenty low. I ran static at that height for a couple years before I bagged my truck.
