Alot of kits come with one side un welded so you can cut it to length you need. If you want a bag on bar go with some 2x2 1/4 thick an you'll be good upper bars you could run like 1.5" round

Alot of travel an better ride is definitely a bag on bar set up. You can place the bag closer to the pivot point for more lift or further away an still get good amount of travel. Mine is placed about half way on the lower link bar an I get around 11-12in

I have a 01-04 supercharged V6 S runner in my shop right now that I'm 4 linking to be used with QA1 coil overs. I'm building a bolt on kit for the Taco's. The front has had the QA1's on for a while and now it's time for the rear. I'll post pics when I get further along. All bolt on into factory holes, with the exception of a few.. :waytogo:

Just remember that while you want it to be strong, unsprung weight is an issue too. While not all of the weight in the links is unsprung, 1/4" wall is awful heavy.

I'm running the Cando setup, with 2" round lowers and I think 1 1/4" uppers. I didn't cut them to see what the thickness was, but I'd be surprised if they were larger than .125". They didn't seem that heavy.

Also, with my bag on bar, I'm getting about 15" of total travel with the RE-7 bags. If I used the SS's, I'd likely get 17" or so. The only limitation would be the shocks. My current setup with the shocks on limits travel to 13", but I may later try a different shock setup, possibly cantilever.

Also, did you try searching? I think we've covered most of this (except wall thickness) in at least one other thread. If I remember correctly, there were a few good articles linked too...

Ull get a big ticket possibly lose ur license. Def vehicle impounded. Also probably have to pay for the road to get fixed. You can hit them at a stop but not while driving it's considered reckless driving. I do it but now when I see a cop haha

I drive by cops pretty low they don't say much about tht. Just dragging is a big no no unless ur not around cops then go for it. Same with hittin switches

If you get a flat tire. you should be able to not drag.
And keep car under control is rule of thumb.
