How can i tell what size sway bar i have?

    86 2wd toyota pickup........ there are two options for sway bar bushings on mine.... 18mm and 25mm.

    how can i tell what size i have? how do i measure it? :shrug:

    Measure the diameter of your sway bar with a tape measure(the ones tailors use if you have one).:shrug: .7 inches is 18mm .99 is 25mm. Measurements are approx.

    hmm........ for future refference for anyone else trying to find out what you have.... i found a "18" stamped on both of the sway bar bushings (frame end) facing outward.

    i also measured up the thickness and matched. this should help people determine what you have. :waytogo:

    If you cant find your stamp.. use a Vernier Caliper to measure the Dia. They can be bought for like 15$ if you dont have one. Very good tool to have!

    I believe the 25mm is only avialable on one tons and v6 models, due to weight of the v6 and stability for payload on the one tons.

    Oh yeah and second on the calipers, or micrometers will work too.
