Can I cap this hose off coming from carb? There is normally a plastic coil looking thing there. What size and what do I call the cap if I need to search or order?

Another carb question, I have an external fuel tank and fuel pump. Any reason why I would still need to prime the carb every time to get truck started? It runs fine and uses fuel once it's started but will not get that initial supply of fuel.

    Thanks!

sounds like fuel is draining back to your tank and loseing prime in the line. What fuel pump are you useing for your tank and where is it located?

as for that hose it looks like a pcv hose but i cant tell, that pic kinda sucks man lol

the fuel pump has a switch that turns it off and on. see the pic below. It's mounted back by the external tank.

as for the hose, here is a better pic. the plastic coil looking thing plugs in to it. if memory serves me well the truck won't run without the plastic thing plugged in to the hose.

is the tank lower then the pump? like can fuel drain through the pump by gravity and go back into the tank? or is the top of the tank higher the fuel pump a bit? i bet the fuel is draining from the line back into the tank
