Im doing a complete rebuild and I just put my timing chain on and manually turned the engine over. I have the oil pan off and I can hear a hissing sound like its losing commpresion. Is this normal? I'm preety sure I did everything right???

Valve stuck open? Sparkplug not sitting proper? Or loss of compression.

Could be some kind of friction also. Two pieces of metal moving against each other could cause a hissing sound.

Thanks guys...I also found out it was normal. Its the air passing the ring end gaps.
