Has anyone seen a 3rd high level stoplight for the 92 xcab - I kind of feel a bit nervious in a smaller truck here - Jackson seems to be bad for being "rear ended" and not having high level stop like other trucks on mine

I would assume you could just get one from a 94 or 95 truck. From what I have seen at the junkards it just bolts to the roof.

some people don't like the 94-95 high stop light because it sticks up pretty high.

if you want to go factory, there's nothing wrong with that.
if you wanna get something more low profile, do it! make it unique. as long it's done right lol.

I call my 94 stop light a shark tail lol

i've never been a fan of the high rise but i have a set of the led's from a chevy on my roof...took a little bit of work to cut the plastic casing of the strip but it fit perfect otherwise and was a simple plug and play more/less.

jetas beat me to it, but try mounting a light inside the cab right below the cab where it meets the glass... shouldn't be to hard to route a wire up there....

This is going in the back window of my truck, since my 59 Caddy lights are a little smaller. This is a Cadillac Catera third brake light. All leds and just under 2 inches from being edge to edge of my back window :) $11 junkyard score, List price is Like $500 from Caddy. My stockers been shaved for a while. With my tint you wont see it till I hit the brakes

Thanks for the information guys, I am keeping a lookout at local pull a part for a later model truck. If anyone has one of the "ugly" factory ones that they dont want anymore, I will pay postage to give it a new home on my truck. Im more worried about someone rear ending me than the trucks looks at the moment :)

Found a stop/tail light that doesnt look crazy while getting some oil at wally world, $5.88 (as the truck was free Im not spending a fortune on it).
Just spliced in a wire to the loom under the passengers seat - green/white, ran it under carpet - up under rear seat and tucked in rear window rubber.
Two screws fix it to top rail of rear wind unit - doesnt look bad at all.
