Hi, My name is Chris, and I'm addicted to toyota POWAH! My first was a 2wd '86 22r rn55 (short box) truck. Mods were as follows: exterior: 4wd front fenders window tint 1.5 inch body lift (half of a 3" lift, cut in half) crappy steel wagon wheels (american racing, though) rust, and more rust Interior: sr5 buckets a-pillar mounted tach kenwood cd player (kdc-8015 if anyone cares) custom 6x9 door pods (only with the buckets, the bench wouldn't let the doors shut) big blue bottle between the seats. ( again, only with buckets) performance: rebuild @ 174,000 included (aside from basics; main bearings, rod bearings, etc) engnbldr master kit with plasma moly rings, manganese bronze valve guides, hardend retainters and locks, etc...the good kit. engnbldr 268 cam engnbldr OS valves NWOR header NWOR ignition recurve kit ($17 dollar spring...who knew!) MSD 6AL MSD blaster coil "Modified" stock carb 4WD clutch, P/P & T/O bearing Dry shot of laughing gas, who knows how much, I didn't put a jet in the fogger nozzle, I just put the nozzle into the hole where the carb stud used to pop out of the top of the air box lid. (one of my many "mods" to the aisin carb, hehe! ) K&n drop in filter Melling oil pump for a 22re-t cooler spark plugs some kinda cheap fel-pro head gasket that cost me a mint when it failed... sold it in early 2007 for next to nothing. I wish I'd kept it now.... Current 'yota is a 2wd '87 rn77dlx (long box, deluxe) with a 22r. I just picked it up this week, so no mods yet...... YET! I'll be posting a very, very slow going build thread. I'll be posting pics of my "$800 diamond in the rough" in the very near future....maybe even later today (10/3/9). It's always nice to have a reference of where it started, and what it was like. Sorry for writing a frickin' book here... thanks for making all the way! Nice to have found this place, I expect to be here for a WHILE!
unfortunatly, I have only one pic of my first one, and it's got a porch post/banister infront of the truck. I'll throw some pics up later of my new old truck.
