Hi all in the process off lowering a 2 door 4x4 surf and seems like this is the place to get the intelligent information to do the job right  at the moment the front seems to be running on the bump stops (not very nice on these roads over here) will lower ball joint spacers improve the ride  Thanks Greg

Welcome to TM. I do not know much about the surfs but I will give it a shot. Did you do a lower ball joint flip? is there any spacing in there? Also I would suggest removing the bump stops. I dont have any on my truck.

Thanks for that I'll try the hack saw bit first on the bump stops, can you explian a b/j flip as it does'nt seem to be a common thing over here  does it make a difference that mines a 4x4

I have no idea with the 4x4 surf. If you could post some pictures of the lower arms and where the spindle attaches (basically your front setup) we could give you some pointers. I am very new to dropping vehicles myself but i did do my 2wd pickup. There is a few other people here that know a lot about it. I am sure they will chime in.
