Hey I'm Matt from BC, Canada and I am 19. Currently going to school taking Criminology and working retail at a hardware store. I've been lurking on these forums for a year but finally decided to introduce myself. I have a 1990 2wd std cab white P/U 22r. ~384,000 KM on it, rebuilt motor by P/O at about 280,000 KM with a rebuild kit from engbldr. I've had it since August of 2007. Pretty much stock, added a tach, running American Racing AR-23 rims with Michelin Harmonys. Planning to give it Tremclad/Rustoleum paint job along with replacing the doors this summer. Also going to paint the frame with POR-15 or similar and probably replace the shocks all round with Bilstein HDs. I'm thinking about giving it a 3" bodylift and cranking the torsion bars...yes I know I'm on toyota minis lol.
I'm rather broke atm considering I just paid for my spring semester of tuition/books and helped my g/f out a bit with buying her 87 honda crx lol
Welcome to the forum! That all sounds great, except the part where you want to lift it... Check out this thread where it was discussed a bit: http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3590 Either way keep us posted on the truck!
I have no problem with your lifting it. seriously. I think a pre-runner baja look would be great welcome!
So here is a picture of it from last winter...really old but I haven't done too much to it. I repainted the fenders on both sides as the rust was coming through the primer the PO had on it. Now the rust on the bottom of the passenger door is probably 400% worse but I'm getting new doors in the spring. Currently have Hankook Ipikes stock wheels on for the winter but since it hardly snowed this year I'm going to switch back soon.
