These are the same people who claimed that Bush didn't have enough proof to go into Iraq. Now they don't have proof, but its necessary that we act now?

    Sounds fishy to me...

Syria didn't sign or ratify the Geneva Convention, therefor they are not beholden to it. Whether that makes it OK for us to sit back and watch, whether they ACTUALLY used chemical weapons, ....All good questions.

We can't afford it. Although, can we afford to not go in if it's real?

Bush, Obama, the next guy, it really doesn't matter. They need a boogey man to have something for people to fight against. Its a civil war in another part of the world. Admit that financially, as a nation, were broke. Were doing the equivalent of one of us going to a payday-loan place to borrow money and then giving most of it away to charity. Each paycheck, go to the payday loan place, pay off the previous debt with interest and borrow more because you are broke from paying off the previous loan. Then the cycle begins again next payday and the amount you lose gets to be more and more. I think its simple: Tell the world they will have to fight theyre own battles, feed themselves, and do without our money until we get back on track. Then treat the government like a household with a checking account: You get the money first: THEN you spend!

Oh, and one other thing. I'm in favor of a draft: No, not like the one in Vietnam and wars before. This one would apply only to The children of politicians of military age (17-50's) Say, for each 1000 troops that are sent into a war zone, one politicians child will, by law be randomly drafted into the military and have to, By law, fight on the front lines. No waivers for college, to work on daddies or mommies campaigns, ect. If you as a politician want to stand and beat your chest for war: Fine. Send your kid first! This would apply retroactively as well, so the Bush twins and Chealsea can see how cute they look in BDU's, in a war zone with the taliban after them.
