I have an 85 toyota pickup that is leaking transmission fluid at the top of the dipstick tube. I have not added no transmission fluid at all and I have checked to make sure the transmission fluid levels were correct before this ever happened. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. If anybody can tell me why this is doing this and how i can fix the problem I would really appreciate it.

    no seal

Dont know why it would be coming out of the dip stick whole but then again I have never pulled the dip stick while driving to see if it comes up so maybe it just your dip stick is not sealing the whole anymore.

Thats what i was thinking but i'm not sure if that would fix the problem. I looked at the seal on the dipstick and it doesn't look cracked or broken.I guess i'll have to buy one and see what it does.

    dip stick

Try some tephlon tape or something like that first.

I called the dealership today and they said that it's a restiction in the transmission to check the vent hose that it could possibly be clogged. So now where is the vent hose located on the transmission.
