ok, I have a cannon intake with weber 40s..

main problem is it is getting cought up on my mechanical fuel pump

can i take the rubber/plastic spacer out ? or will that screw up the pump because it needs it to run on the cam ?? I REALLY do NOT want to run a electric fuel pump. 1 I dont have the money and 2 more sht to worry about...

yes you need the spacer..else the pivot is too close and everything gets all bound up.

just run an electric its waaay easy and i worry less about that then my mechanical

yeh to seal the hole where the manual fuel pump goes if you could find a truck/car with efi motor it has the block of plate on same location...otherwise you could order from LC..

or if you are crafty you can make a block off plate from some steel with an angle grinder and a drill, the carbi fuel pumps at advance will work fine for your setup.

The closer to the tank the better when mounting the pump. A pressure gauge after the regulator will help when fine tunning later on. Also, use the canister to relieve the pressure......Drill out a piece of plate. If you dont mind doing it right.

Go to the yotatech WEB site and look up my photo album "My Toy". You will find photos of my engine, carbs, block off pump plate, etc. Purchase a good electric fuel pump (I run Mallory) but what is critical is a RETURN TYPE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR for fuel control to your Weber carbs. Do not exceed 2 PSI at the carb inlets; the carbs will flood even with spring loaded seats. I run mine at 1.5 PSI and never have any fuel problems. You can find Carter, Holley and other brand electric fuel pumps at a reasonable cost but do not skimp on the fuel pressure regulator. Again, use only a return type fuel pressure regulator otherwise you will be pulling your hair out trying to drive on the street or you could loose a motor due to lean or rich conditions caused by fluctuating fuel pressure.
