so today on my way home from work my driver side window wiper stopped working on my 1978 TOYOTA HILUX . when i got home i took the arm off only to find that the stud part coming out of the cowl had gotten completely stripped of all its splines. anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it? why the hell did they make the splines on the stud end instead of the wiper arm? i dont want to do anything crazy like jb weld it on there but it rains alot here this time of year and i really need my wipers working. if it wasnt the drivers side i wouldnt be as worried because i could live without the other one but i need my driver wiper working. thanks in advance guys

You could possibly cut a slice of beer can and place it inside the arm mounting hole like a shim then crank it on as tight as you dare. Might hold until you can buy a replacement

You could possibly swap the splines between passenger and driver?
