    Hey Guys,
I dropped my ride 4" all around and been running around on 205/75/14.
and decided to buy this beautiful 14" babymoon Wheel set on CL, but when I installed the same tires I had. they are now too tall and too wide for my ride...
they rub front and back. and even when I turn.
What Happened?? (please forgive my luck of knowledge on the subject).
I think the wheels are a little wider but the tire are the same
are they going to explode on the freeway?
should I buy new ones? and if so. What Size??
    Thanks for your help guys.

Give me some dimensions on the new wheel's sizes. They probably have too low of an offset.

Take some pictures, from the front 1/4 angle, the side, and the rear 3/4 angle. and then a picture aiming down the side so i can see the relation of the tire and the fender.

Roll your fenders. The wheels probably have a lower offset making them closer to your fender

Sounds like you need to put lower profile tires on it.

Here is a picture of my big tires!
I went around from tire store to tire store to finally end up getting
185-60-14 as Jaybee and not forgotten suggested.
    Thanks a lot guys.

I'll post a pict of my new ones later on

I'm not the one for downgrading to smaller tires.
The wheels are probably 14x7's or 14x8's with an offset close to zero.
Get your fender lips rolled correctly/ professionally if you must.

Correct me here but his is a 78, 4x4 was not available until 79 right? Will 79 + fenders bolt up to a 78,if not, now what?

^^^That is correct, Pete! The '79 was the 1st year for the RN38/48 - 4WD.

Smaller tyres or get mags without an offset. I'm assuming in this case the mags have pushed the tyres out.
