Hi there my name is Shad, I have a 71 hi lux i bought about a year ago. It has alot of rust on the bed and body but was running like a champ untill a month ago. I went out to start it up one morning in december, in Northern Utah, and nothing. I am thinking the starter went out, I put a volt meter on the battery and was reading 12.6 , so it looks like the battery is not the problem. I dont know alot about mechanicin but want ,and have to, learn. I love my hi lux and want to restore it. Thanks for being out here, so cool to have fellow Toyota Mini lovers to talk with.
