whats up guys? ive been a reader(learner) on this site for quite some time. i figured i can join in now that i got another yota. ive had a few minis before, but not one that i actually built by myself. and what better way to start than with a yota? and this forum. to make a long story short, i used to be a tow truck driver and impounded this 89 toyota 2wd with a fresh 22re under the hood(stock for now). the body has 237k miles, the engine appears to have been swapped at 200k or so. but anyways, i impounded this truck because some dude got a dui, never came to get the truck so i turned around and bought it from my boss for $500. i just bought some 4x4 fenders/corner lights/support brackets. hopefully i'll swap it out tomorrow. its sitting on some 16" OZ rims i bought for $40 with some decent 215/50 tires(like 75% tread left), lol. tweakers these days... i hope to drop it 4" just so it looks alright for the mean time over the next few weeks, assuming i have some time away from work. eventually i'll bag it and install the CanDo cantilever 4-link and those sweet ass CanDo a-arms. i like my trucks like i like my girls, so everything will be shaved, body lines, doors, wiper cowl, bumper lights, the whole 9. and im gonna try to find a way to stuff some big rims on it. at least 20s.. and i want to keep my bed floor. i'll swap the engine way down the line, for now i'll focus on the stuff that i can actually manage. i'll put some pics up soon. waiting for it to get primer'd, its got those hideous mexican(i'm mexican, im not racist or anything) graphics on the sides that you buy from autozone. lol, its camera shy at the moment. but anyways, this site is dope. i love how i can find basically any answer for every question i have. peace and sorry for writing a book.
