Which ever way you decide , do a lot of research & planning so done once ,done right. Then start collecting parts!
I rode static dropped for a few years with the plan to go bags, so the first thing was 2'' Beltech dropped front spindles & 2 '' dropped rear leafs with 2'' angled blocks, And of coarse cranked down torsion bars.
With this I was at the ride height I wanted, 4.5 '' frame to ground.
Had to add the rear 8'' notch early ,has the axle wound hit the frame making for a uncomfortable ride .
I run sleeve bags 4'' forward of the axle, & Slam RE6 bags at the front, Doestech shocks were at all 4 corners, 14 years now , just replaced with QA 1 shocks , haven't test drove yet has my winter work is still in process.
Hanging & ride has always been great, & I do drive her far & wide to shows all summer, SoCal, Central Valley, WA,OR, & NV.
I do run adjustable suspension ,so clearing speed bumps & driveways is not a problem!
