This is going to be a slow build. I am first going to get her drivable, and then have fun. Plans are mechanical sound then body. I picked her up at a pick and pull. She runs good, replacing the clutch master cylinder this week, painted the mounting bracket and clutch pedal black. The old cylinder was the factory one!

I'm not lowering her, daily driver plus Missouri can be unforgiving.

I'll get some pics up soon.

Here is a crappy pic, I all ready sanded some and primed some of the surface rust, and took off the flares. I like it better with out. The front passenger side is broke about a 1/4 of the way up from the end of the wheel well.

I took more pictures today, who ever put the mounting bot for the clutch master cylinder on the engine bay is a sadist.

I got the clutch master cylinder bled, and runs like a champ even a got a second gear scratch out of her. Next step is brakes, then steering and replacing all the bushings.

Good news on the brakes all the pads were brand new, the calipers, wheell cylinders were good. The rotors are brand new! NOT A BAD BUY ! Who ever had it, took some care of it. The brakes were pulling to the right, I bled them and it fixed it. I got it from a pic n pull as a builder. Next step is a temp exhaust, just a stock one till I put a header with 2 inch exhaust and fixin the ebrake cable. After that a inspection and let the fun begin.

No pics cuz I ain't done nothing cool yet.

So took it to get inspected, I have to replace the entire steering assembly, I all ready knew that was just hoping. Not dropping it yet, they gave me a estimate, of like 1000 bucks, and I can get the parts for like 250. They quoted me 300 for a exhaust...really...

Ordered all the parts for the exhaust and front end, should be fun. I also decided to lower it some, more like car height. I'm going for a rat rod look, parts getter look. It will look good I think. I'm starting to get a clear path on it.

Love to read and see the pics of all the pickups in progress.

Its always great to see the spaces we keep and tools and such.

Keep up the progress, way to go.

I finally found something a while back, it was a bushmaster set, wheel flares and that lip. The wheel flares have some issues and the lip is good. I have them in a storage shed.

So I got the beast running, inspected and tagged! So far i am the only one driving a old toyota like this in town. Waiting to get paid to get it aligned, and I love this thing. Biggest bonus is there are no leaks in the engine. I have no clue how many miles are on the thing. Next thing is shocks and a good cleaning to see what I am working with.
