Hey everyone, I,m Mike. Just purchased a '86 Heavy Duty Hilux ( not 1 Ton). Like every other toy I have, will be making mods to improve looks and performance. Looking forward to meeting others, either here of in person. I need a rollcall from all Georgia members:waytogo:. I move around a few forums: celicasupra, importatlanta, supramania, and a friend of mine and I started a local forum for called georgiasupras, and now I hope to welcomed here on TOYOTAMINIS:meemee:. For those who will ask here are some pics

And the bed I have is a short wheel base Jap bed. I'll be looking to get a couple of dully flairs so give me a heads up if you know some one or know of another vehicle that I can steal me a pair off.

^^^Ooo, your in Ga as well? Where abouts?
I'd like to bag it but, but don't want to have to tear apart my bed as I've been seeing alot of guys do. I want this to be a funtioning truck. I mean I want to pull a car trailer or boat trailer. I want to store/haul thing in the bed.
As far as powertrain at first I was thinking about putting a 5mge in it, but best I'll get out of that is 160HP, unless I turbo it. I'm learning what it cost to build a turbo motor with what I'm learning with this 7mgte im getting built. Then I thought about a JZ N/A, but after see burnz thread on his build not sure I'll go that route. Soooo I have a Chevy 350 and a 350 turbo tranny I,m thinking of useing to power the truck. Being a dully I'm going to need some torque on the low end to spin 4 tires plus good power to haul with. I have alot to learn about toy trucks, I've been driving Silverados for a while.

thats pretty sweet. id imagine you could adapt some of the 80s dodge fullsize dually flares. they werent full boxes like most it was just a giant fender flare basically. plastic/fiberglass i think. or there might be some stuff thats universal to use.

supras look good. i like those. just think they sit wayyyy tooo high. lol.

hey thanks man. its funny, i remember they did that because i always though it looked stupid. i like big side boxes. lol. i saw one guy build a set by hand from bedsides for his dodge that he bagged. they needed to be taller anyways. but maybe those will work with some trimming for your toyota project.

that one specifically is a 91-93. the lower body trim, the tailgate panel and (out of photo) the grille are different than the 81-85 and 86-90. but i believe the rear fenders are the same as that from 81-93. im a dodge guy :p
