sound like a blend door actuator has failed and is no longer able to move the door to change airflow.

Heater valve under the hood is not closing, allowing the hot water to continue circulating

If the linkage isn't broken, but just "fell off", you could just hook it back on.

75% of Autumn, my linkage wasn't hooked up, so mine wasn't circulating at all until one night, i had a friend look in the engine bay while i moved the heater switch.

My truck has a pipe that runs up the firewall and that's where the linkage pops out. I just hooked it back on and voila, works!

Yea theres a valve type thingamajigger on the firewall. Check if the linkage is attatched. If it moves and functionsvia the rod comin from inside the cab then Id suggest taking it off and cleaning it out. Mine had all kinds of crud built up inside but that wasnt MY issue. I jus did it to do it
