Looking for pointers to remove the headliner to install sound reading material. Never took one of these out before, and looking for pointers.

The headliner is usually installed before the windshield and back glass, so it will be tucked in on all 4 sides and 3-4 rods are threaded through the headliner in the middle to give it a nice tight bow.

I haven't taken mine out yet, but I would probably start at the back and sides. Pop the rods out and leave it hang from the windshield ....if I were just adding sound deadener.

On my 88 extra cab I had to remove the rear glass ,it goes under pretty far. Be care full not to tear it has it is glue around all the edges!! At the sides & front the trim holds it in place ,so all of it must be removed!

I replaced mine with a hard style that I made!!
